Advent Service
This year, 5th and 6th grades will perform music during the school advent service on Friday, December 4th. The service will begin at 2pm, and families are welcome to attend.

Grading (6th-8th grades)
In middle school, music grades are determined using both daily grades and written/performance grades. These categories are each worth 50% of their total grade in FACTS.
Students earn daily grade points by participating to the best of their ability and respecting the learning environment. They may lose those points if they fail to participate respectfully.
Written/performance grades are based on in-class performances of songs and instruments, as well as graded written work. When grades are below an 80%, students are always given a chance to earn back some points by reviewing what they missed and fixing answers to show improved comprehension. It is important for students to complete and do well on their written and performance-based assignments since there tend to be fewer points in this category.
