Welcome to South-South Exchange 2024 (SSE 2024)! 

From 30 September to 3 October, 2024 in Balikpapan, regional and national officials of Indonesia, and delegates from Brazil, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and the Democratic Republic of Congo were unified during a South-South Exchange (SSE) to drive global climate action. 

This SSE focused on the vital roles REDD+ play in the Forest and Other Land Use sector to achieve its sectoral targets in Nationally Determined Contributions. The event inspired stronger cooperation among these leading REDD+ countries towards a sustainable future 🌱💡

This event is a collaboration between the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of Indonesia (MoEF), the Indonesian Environment Fund (IEF), the East Kalimantan provincial government and UNDP, with support by the Green Climate Fund REDD+ Results-Based Payments projects and other climate financing schemes. 🌿💚
