Grand Challenges - Summary of achievements, Factsheets, Activities until 2024,
For each of the 3 Grand Challenges, we plan to -
(1) Draft a high level summary of achievements since start of current Science Plan and Implementation Strategy, with some examples of paradigm shifting outputs and measures of impact. These will be used in IMBeR's 5-year review report for SCOR – less than 1 page needed for each summary.
(2) Planning for 3-5 science objectives to be achieved by 2024 with the route by which they’ll be achieved e.g. IMBIZO session in 2021, workshop or training course in 2022, workshop in 2023, outputs presented at OSC session in 2024...etc... [Generating the objectives and plans should be as inclusive as possible, seeking input from IMECaN.]
(3) Update the factsheets created in 2019 to communicate what we’ve done (with accessible examples) and where we’re going next. [A new factsheet template has been developed]

The task is to develop a list of tasks, plans for how we will complete the tasks, and measures of success so that we will know when the Innovation Challenge is 'completed' and can be rolled back into Grand Challenge 3 by the end of 2024.

The LATEST DRAFT (on May 18th) of the Terms of Reference for IMBeR SSC members provides (1) a proposal to invite one ex-officio SSC member from each of the IPO hosts, to enhance IMBeR's profile within the host institutions and strengthen support and outreach activities within the host institutions, and to facilitate the contribution of IMBeR related resources within the host institutions, (2) reflecting current inclusion of the Strategy Director, and (3) reflecting needs of global demands of IMBeR.
The SSC is requested to review and revise the DRAFT REVISION in view of finalizing and adopting the revised version in the 2nd plenary.

As IPOs started categorizing publications to Class 1&2&3 since 2020, some of the publications from 2016 to 2019 are not classified. Regional Programmes, Working Groups and Endorsed Projects have received listed unclassified publications extracted by IPOs from former reports. Please help to classified and send it back by 21 May.
