UDL in education means to remove barriers and offer many options for learning. It allows education to be more responsive to various learner differences. UDL is based on providing multiple means of representation, action and expression, and engagement. (Sheridan College, 2025, pp17)
On this page, I have used an assignment and transformed it in 6 different ways to make it more accessible to all learners, some of the techniques I used are Powerpoint slides, YouTube video, Podcast and Infographic.

Here is a mind map I made using Popplet. This app allows users to present data visually using multimedia graphic organizers. Popplet allows the information to be organized in simple text bubbles of related topics with pictures and videos as added aids.
For this UDL application exercise, I used the same information to create an infographic on Canva.
An Infographic is a visual image such as a chart or diagram used to represent information or data. It breaks down complex topics and uses combination of visuals to make them more accessible to a wider audience.
E-Flip book are a fun and creative way to showcase information in a form that supports UDL by offering multiple ways to engage through text, images, and audio, making information more accessible to diverse learners.
Here I have taken the same information and presented it as an E-Flip book.

For this application, I have created slides from the same information.
Google slides allow content to be presented through different forms by using various media, images, audio and videos, thereby supporting UDL for varied learners.
YouTube allows users to share and learn from a vast variety of content available. Videos can make lessons more dynamic and engaging and it improves retention in students. the visuals and auditory nature of videos support different learning styles.
Most videos include captions and transcripts, which help students who prefer reading or need hearing support. Students can also pause, rewind, or change the speed of videos, allowing them to learn at their own pace and in the way that works best for them.
Podcasts are an effective tool for implementuing UDL in lessons as they provide content in an accessible audio formatwhich caters to students who struggle with written text or prefer auditory learning. Students can listen to podcasts at their own pace, thus giving them control over their learning.
