Boryana is a second year PhD student at Harvard, studying astrophysics. Her interests are related to the large-scale structure of the Universe as well as cosmology, so she spends most of her time pondering questions about the nature of dark matter. When she is not doing that, Boryana likes to study languages, sing in a choir (unprofessionally), ride her beloved bicycle and educate herself on social issues. Oh, and eat! All the time.
Faith is a high school senior who is passionate about programming and science. She is a research intern at Harvard's Center for Astrophysics and works with Boryana to understand the behavior of various halo finders used in N-body simulations. Outside of school she loves to build apps, 3D print various objects, and work on tech-related projects (like building drones). I also have youtube channel where I post videos about doing tech related things. Feel free to check it out!
Kikyo is a high school student at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, and she is extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Science Research Mentoring Program at Harvard. She loves Astronomy, and she is also happy that she has been able to use her knowledge of Statistics during the program. Outside of school, she enjoys playing the oboe, doing modern dance, and taking photos of flowers and the sky.
