ABOUT NELLORE CITY AND HOW TO REACH SRKSSN
Situated in A.P. on Kolkota-Chennai National highway #5, it is at a distance of 255 K.M.s. from Vijayawada and 175 K.M.s from Chennai. With a population of 5 lakhs, it is the biggest city on the B.G. railway line between Vijayawada and Chennai. It is on the bank of the holy Puranic river Pennar. Sri Ranganatha Swami is the presiding deity. The famous temple of mother goddess Devi Kamakshi at Jonnawada is at a distance of 5 K.M.s. The city was known as Veera Vikrama Simhapuri during the reign of King Manumasiddi whose court poet, Thikkana Somayaji, translated into Telugu the major portion of the Mahabharata from the banks of the river Pennar. Vikrama Simhapuri University has been established in the city.
SRKSSN is located in the vicinity of Gandhi Bomma center. There are two approach points from the Trunk Road- via T-junctions at Reliance Web World and at Venkata Ramana Hotel.
