I was born in India and I did my bachelor's in mathematics (Hons.) from the University of Delhi (2017). I completed my Ph.D. this May (2026) at the University of Missouri-Columbia, advised by Dr. Hema Srinivasan. Starting Fall 2026, I will be a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. I do commutative algebra and read books (the only non-fiction I read is maths). When I'm doing neither I'm playing badminton.
My current research is on affine semigroups.
Specifically, I use computational and combinatorial methods, alongside some convex geometry, to study Wilf's Conjecture for numerical and affine semigroups, gluing, minimal free resolutions, betti numbers, and other properties of the associated semigroup rings. More recently, I have been looking at semigroup rings over fields of positive characteristic.
More details are in the research section.
