Hello! A hearty welcome to my homepage.
I am an Assistant Professor (Grade I) in the Agricultural and Food Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, within the Farm Machinery and Power discipline. My work is dedicated to engineering sustainable, high-performance solutions for the future of global agriculture. My research expertise is rooted in the study of complex thermal-fluid systems. Before joining IIT Kharagpur, I served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Bombay, where I collaborated with Prof. Arindrajit Chowdhury and Prof. Neeraj Kumbhakarna on the fundamental physics of rocket fuel propellant spray and combustion, providing me with deep insights into high-velocity atomization and advanced combustion modelling. In September 2022, I completed my PhD degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. During this time, I worked with Prof. Dhananjay Kumar Srivastava on direct-injection spark-ignition compressed natural gas engine.
My primary research focus lies at the intersection of thermal-fluid sciences and sustainable agricultural engineering, with an emphasis on developing efficient farm power systems and ergonomic machinery. More broadly, I am interested in combustion, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) applications, alternative fuel characterisation (biodiesel, ammonia, renewable fuels), and human-factors engineering, all within the context of internal combustion engines, farm machinery design, and the ergonomics and safety of the agricultural workforce.
I am always eager to collaborate on innovations in agricultural machinery and energy systems to enhance farming practices worldwide.
