**Banquet Wednesday**
We are excited for the Banquet this Wednesday! Everyone who RSVP’d should have received an email confirming we received your RSVP.
The Banquet features a Silent Auction with all proceeds benefiting the team. Check out the exciting baskets, and get ready to bid big!!
**Athletes who haven’t returned uniforms must bring them to the Banquet if they want to attend.
**Uniform Return**
If you aren’t attending the banquet, you need to return your uniform ASAP. Drop it off in the black crate by the front door of: 11109 Saunders Ct.
Athletes who do not return a non-purchased uniform will have a hold on their student accounts.
**Kebab Shop Thanks**
We raised just short of $400 from our Kebab Shop fundraiser last week. Thanks for supporting the team, Kabab Shop!
**CIFSDS Championships on Saturday**
Come cheer on your teammates in the final San Diego meet of the season this Sunday at Mt. Carmel High School. The schedule, entries, and live results can be found here. Tickets are available via GoFan. This meet will determine the San Diego entries at States.

**CIFSDS Section 2 Championships This Saturday**

**Surfside Fish House Fundraiser this Wednesday!!**

**Meet Updates**

Our second home meet went really well thanks to our parent volunteers who assisted on the field and in the snack bar: Holly Hanks, Shira O’Connell, Julie Perry, Shannon Schmaltz, Shankar Sitapati, Laura Stephens, and Ally Van Eldik Thieme.

**League Meets–Athlete Attendance**
Just a reminder that the coaches expect all athletes will attend our Thursday League Meets and stay until the end. This week’s meet is at Point Loma High School. Feel free to use this Parent Chat to coordinate a carpool. The school does not provide transportation to away meets.

At the last meet, very few athletes stayed to clean up, and the coaches were disappointed.
**Equipment and Donations**
At our last meet, the pole vault crossbar and one of the hurdles broke, so we will need to replace these items. To help with this and our other needs, please donate! We are asking for $275 per family, but we welcome whatever you are able to give.

**Uniforms**
Our uniform volunteers, Julyn Pampo and Kristy Cruz, have been working hard to distribute uniforms. They have been at many practices and at the meets with uniforms. **SpiritWear**
SpiritWear went home with athletes this week. Thanks so much to Traci Hart for coordinating this! We will also have a limited amount of SpiritWear for sale at our snack bar. Check it out at our next meet!
**Senior Night**
We will honor our Seniors at the meet on 4/10! A few seniors still need to take a picture for their senior banners. Please message our senior night coordinators, Traci Hart and Allyson Van Eldik Thieme, to coordinate your photo time.

Here is the first of our Sunday Booster updates!
**Donations**
We need your help to ensure this season is a success! Our goal is to have every family contribute something to the team to cover what the school district doesn’t cover.
We recently have had to pay for: new poles for pole vault, a new pad for the high jump, invitational fees, inventory for the snack bar, walkie talkies to keep volunteers organized during meets, new hurdles, and sand for the jump pits.
We are asking for $275 per family, but we welcome whatever you are able to give. On Paypal, we even have a monthly payment option. Our goal is to have every family contribute something–every bit helps! Check out our cool thermometer to track the percentage of families who have contributed! You can donate here.
As one parent recently said, the great thing about T&F donations is that everyone can see how their donations are helping the team just by watching a meet!
**Meet Volunteers**
A non-monetary way to help the team is to be a meet volunteer for our home meets! Parents on the field must be cleared as Class D volunteers with the school district. District employees and current volunteers at other schools are already cleared! Here is the process to get cleared if you need it.
We also need parents to work shifts at the snack bar–even just an hour would help! If you can volunteer for the snack bar this Thursday, please email our snack bar coordinators, Julie Perry and Shannon Schmaltz: julieperry76@yahoo.com, shannonschmaltz30@gmail.com
**Banquet Save the Date**
After much debate about when to hold the banquet, working around coach conflicts and venue constraints, we have settled on Wednesday, May 21st from 6:00-9:00 pm for our Banquet! Please save the date!
We know that this is a very busy time for our seniors, but hopefully they can make it! We are also going to have a gathering in June to celebrate the athletes who run at the San Diego Championships and States. More details tbd!

Uniforms will be distributed at practice on 2/25! Please remember that any team uniforms must be returned at the end of the season or else athletes will be invoiced for the cost of replacing them.
This Thursday is our first meet. Field events begin at 3:30, and track events begin at 4:00. Athletes should be released by 2:30 pm so they can head to the track--Coach will give them exact details.
Coach will let your athletes know what events they will run in. The meets always happen with events in the same order, and the length of the meet depends upon how many "heats" we run in each event. Often, each event will have 1-2 JV heats for girls and then boys, followed by a girls varsity heat and a boys varsity heat. Some of the short sprint events might have multiple JV heats. You can find the event order on our website under Track 101. Typically, the meets end around 7 pm.
Our snack bar will be open during the meet! This is a great way to get some dinner/snacks and support the team. All proceeds from the snack bar go to the Booster Club's effort to support our team.
Saturday is the Elmer Runge Invitational. Coaches have already told athletes whether they will be competing in this event--typically only varsity athletes compete. Everyone is encouraged to come and support the team! Look for our team tent in the stands.

**TODAY (2/17) is the deadline to purchase awesome SRHS Nike tracksuits at cost. We want everyone to look fierce (and keep muscles warm) at meets.
**2/21 is the deadline to purchase SpiritWear. Athletes and parents alike are encouraged to buy shirts, hats, hoodies, etc. to represent the team at meets. Proceeds will go toward SpiritWear for coaches and other Booster expenses.
**NEW 2/23 is the deadline to fill out our Uniform Form, which also has optional jersey and shorts purchase. Everyone competing in meets will be provided a jersey; varsity will also be provided shorts. Everyone, however, has the option to purchase and keep their own jerseys and shorts via this form.
**NEW 2/25 will be Uniform Distribution Day at practice. If you are using a team jersey or shorts, you will pick them up that day and will return them at the end of the season.
