The Isai sangam, the brain child of R.Lakshminarayanan, Volinist & V.Venkata Raman, Mridangist, came into being in the year 2007.

Thanks to Mrs.P.Sitalakshmi & Dr.R.Savithri of All India Bank Employees Association Nagar (AIBEA Nagar), Thiruvanaikoil, Trichy who were instrumental in finding this Isai Sangam and naming it after the presiding deity of the above premises Sri Karpaga Vinayagar.

The Isai Sangam is well patronised by musicians and music lovers of Trichy. The mission is to identify latent talent in children by conducting healthy competitions and encourage them by giving opportunities to perform in public functions under the auspices of the Isai Sangam.

The Isai Sangam has been conducting Music Competitions among School Children of various age groups since 2007 and the response is ever growing since then. From around 75 competitors during 2007, the number of competitors in consistently on the increase with students participating from neighboring districts also.
