$quirrel Apps — Terms of Service

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The $quirrel applications, including all code, design, user interface, graphics, 

text, curriculum content, and all other content, are the exclusive property of 

$quirrel Apps and are protected by United States and international copyright and 

intellectual property laws. All rights reserved. You may not reproduce, distribute, 

modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any part of these 

applications without explicit written permission. Unauthorized use may result in 

civil and criminal penalties.

1. ACCEPTANCE

By downloading or using any $quirrel application you agree to these terms. If you 

do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all $quirrel applications:

$quirrel Budget & Finance, $quirrel Debt Payoff, $quirrel Paycheck Calc, and 

$quirrel Family Stash.

2. PURCHASES & SUBSCRIPTIONS

$quirrel Budget & Finance, $quirrel Debt Payoff, and $quirrel Paycheck Calc are 

sold as one-time purchases. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license 

to use the app on your personal device.

$quirrel Family Stash is offered as a subscription service ($4.99/month or 

$39.99/year) with a 7-day free trial. Subscription billing is handled by Apple 

App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). You will not be charged during the free 

trial period. Cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

To manage or cancel your subscription:

• iOS: Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions

• Android: Google Play → Subscriptions

No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods except where required 

by applicable law.

3. ACCOUNTS & CHILDREN

$quirrel Budget & Finance, $quirrel Debt Payoff, and $quirrel Paycheck Calc do 

not require an account.

$quirrel Family Stash requires a parent or guardian account. You must be 18 years 

or older to create an account. Child profiles may only be created and managed by 

a parent or guardian. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your 

account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account 

credentials.

$quirrel Family Stash is designed for use by families with children ages 6–17 

under direct parental supervision. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy 

Protection Act (COPPA).

4. YOUR DATA

All financial data you enter is stored locally on your device and, for $quirrel 

Family Stash, securely in Firebase Firestore. You are solely responsible for the 

accuracy of your data. We are not responsible for financial decisions made based 

on information in any $quirrel application.

5. OPTIONAL CLOUD SYNC

If you choose to enable cloud sync, your data is stored securely using Google 

Firebase. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account 

credentials. We do not have access to your financial data beyond what is necessary 

to provide the service.

6. NO FINANCIAL ADVICE

$quirrel applications are personal finance and financial education tools only. 

Nothing in any $quirrel application constitutes financial, investment, tax, or 

legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for financial decisions. 

The educational content in $quirrel Family Stash is provided for general 

informational purposes and is not a substitute for professional financial guidance.

7. ACCURACY

While we strive for accuracy in all calculations including amortization schedules, 

budget tracking, paycheck estimates, and educational content, we make no guarantees 

about the accuracy of any calculations or information. Always verify important 

financial figures independently. Laws and financial regulations vary by state and 

country — educational content may not reflect the laws of your jurisdiction.

8. PROHIBITED USE

You may not reverse engineer, copy, modify, or redistribute any $quirrel application 

or its code. You may not use any $quirrel application for any unlawful purpose. You 

may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems or another 

user's account.

9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The applications are provided as-is without warranties of any kind. We do not 

guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for any 

data loss resulting from app malfunction, device failure, or account deletion.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, $quirrel Apps and its developers shall not 

be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising 

from use of any $quirrel application, including but not limited to financial losses, 

data loss, or decisions made based on app content.

11. TERMINATION

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to $quirrel Family Stash for 

violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through 

Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete My Account & All Data.

12. CHANGES

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of any 

$quirrel application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. 

We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without 

regard to conflict of law provisions.
