Magnetic microwave device engineer positions available!
Research opportunities: SQML is seeking highly motivated candidates (postgraduate or Ph.D. student, research assistant, and postdoc) who have a solid background in EE, MSE, Physics, or other related fields. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant research experience on quantum transport, magnetism and microwave engineering. Doing cutting-edge research in SQML involves extensive collaborations with domestic and international schools and institutes. If you are interested, please send a comprehensive CV to eeqshao@ust.hk
Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS): The Fellowship provides an annual stipend of HK$309,600 (approximately US$39,700) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$12,900 (approximately US$1,700) per year for each awardee. For details, please check out the website and contact the PI.
RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme (PDFS): For each PdF awardee, the supporting university will receive an annual stipend of $396,600 (approximately US$50,600) per year, for the awardee’s basic salary as well as a conference and research-related travel allowance (of $12,600 per year inclusively) throughout the 36-month fellowship period. For details, please check out the website and contact the PI.
Undergraduate research opportunities: HKUST encourages undergraduate (UG) students participating in the research activities through Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP). There are two active UROP projects associated with SQML: Automated test equipment for magnetic memory and sensors and Rational design of magnetic devices using micromagnetic simulations. UG students at HKUST are welcome to apply these two projects. We also welcome visiting UG students to do research in SQML through Undergraduate Visiting Internship Students (Research Only) program.
