Brianne Mansfield, Varsity Coach

Brianne Mansfield, a former Spy Ponder herself, enters her eleventh season as a coach at Arlington High School. This is her fifth season coaching the Varsity team. Her previous six seasons were spent coaching the Freshman team.

Coach Mansfield is a First Grade Teacher at the Davis Elementary School in Bedford, MA. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics in 2009 from Bridgewater State University where she played field hockey. Most recently, she earned a Masters of Science from Wheelock College.

Carolyn Avery, Freshman Coach

Carolyn Avery enters her third season with the Arlington Spy Ponders. She coached JV field hockey for a season at Middlesex School. Carolyn will also be returning to the Concord Carlisle Patriots ice hockey program in the winter, as the head JV and Varsity assistant coach.

Carolyn is a Lexington native who graduated with a degree in Psychology and Sociology from Saint Michael’s College in 2017, where she played both field hockey and ice hockey. She is currently earning a Masters of Education in School Counseling and School Adjustment Counseling from Salem State University. Carolyn is a Special Education Teaching Assistant at Hunnewell Elementary School in Wellesley, MA.
