The SLT or any educator who is conducting the assembly will address the students positively saying good morning to all. One can start this assembly with the sign of the cross: "In the name of the Father, and of the son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen"
Introduction
Has it ever happened to you that you dream about something and then it really happened? This morning we will get to know how a dream turned a little boy named John into an outstanding hero.
The Lord used dreams in St John Bosco’s life to guide him, direct him and assure him. Most of his dreams had to do with his life and his mission. Today we speak of superheroes which are sent on missions. St John Bosco was really a hero - his powers were kindness, gentleness, and love. Sometimes we really try hard to imitate someone famous or to do something which will make us standout and be valued. The good news for those who dream big is that God gave us the same powers he gave to St John Bosco. We all have the superpowers of kindness, gentleness, and love. These powers will help us show respect towards everyone including those which usually are emarginated. With these powers we can show respect towards prisoners and their families, respect towards the homeless, the jobless and respect towards those who are dealing with addiction such as drug addiction, alcohol addiction and shopping and gaming addictions. When we pray for these people and we show them kindness, gentleness, and love, like St John Bosco we will let these people experience the kindness, gentleness and love God has for them too.
Prayer
We want to thank you dear God for the life and the example of St John Bosco. We thank you for giving us the powers to be kind, gentle and to love and respect everyone. We pray that you will comfort the prisoners, their families, the homeless, those who lost their jobs and all who are suffering from any kind of addiction. Amen.
