The SLT or any educator who is conducting the assembly will address the students positively saying good morning to all. One can start this assembly with the sign of the cross: "In the name of the Father, and of the son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen"
Introduction
This morning we are going to start our day by getting to know what had happened once to a boy named Nicholas during Christmas time. We are going to see how he met St Claire and what we had learnt about love.
Love is a gift from God. We pass it on to each other through our actions. We might not be feeding the poor, but we can show kindness, listen and respect everyone. God wants to give his love this Christmas and always. In this way we too can say: I can love because God loves me, and I can give because God gave me.
(Depending on your audience you can specify that God gave us his Love when he sent baby Jesus to be one like us, to teach us by words and actions and to save us).
Prayer
Dear God, thank you for loving us and the whole world so much. Give us the courage so that during this Christmas and always we love others because you loved us first. Amen.
Conclusion
We will end our assembly this morning with the same words St Claire used to salute Nicholas. I am going to tell you: God loves you. Go in peace.
