John, our Director, about the Wonderland cast this year "That was harder to cast than I was expecting. A lot of chutzpah and talent this year!
Parents, know your child might be a little down if they don't get the part they wanted, and lift them up if they seem down. Remind them that each character has a chance to do something special and they will have plenty to keep them busy ;) "
Sushmita, our Enrichment Chair says, "Theater has a remarkable ability to connect and transform lives in extraordinary ways. Last year, during Space Pirates drama, some kids felt discouraged by their one-line roles. My son, then a third grader, embraced his single line with unwavering enthusiasm. He forged friendships across grades, practiced tirelessly—his dedication even led to hosting karaoke nights to improve his singing—and relished every moment of the shared experience. This year, he joyfully told me, "Mom, I made a new friend today, and I saw so many friends who were in the drama with me last year."
Another memorable story featured a boy who played a curious robot. He picked up a teacup, studied it thoughtfully, and exclaimed, “This is a hat!” The audience erupted in laughter, and that unforgettable moment showed how even a single line can leave a lasting impact.
These heartwarming experiences serve as powerful reminders that enrichment programs transcend academic growth. They nurture resilience, creativity, and a sense of belonging—helping every child find their place, their voice, and their passion."
