Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a transaction?
Tap the plus button on the dashboard. You can enter details manually, use voice entry by tapping the microphone icon, or scan a receipt using your camera.
How do I set up a budget?
Go to the Budget tab and tap "Set Budget". Select a category and enter your monthly limit. You'll receive alerts when you're approaching your budget.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All your data is stored locally on your device. We never upload your financial information to external servers. You can also enable Face ID or Touch ID for additional security.
Can I use SpendIQ in my language?
SpendIQ supports 9 languages: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, and Bengali. Go to Settings and tap Language to change your preferred language.
How do I change my currency?
Go to Settings and tap Currency. Choose from over 150 currencies worldwide.
How do I backup my data?
Go to Settings, then tap Backup and Restore. Tap Create Backup to export all your data to a file. You can save this file to your device or iCloud Drive.
How do I restore from a backup?
Go to Settings, then tap Backup and Restore. Tap Select Backup File and choose your previously saved backup file.
Why are my widgets not updating?
Make sure you have granted the app necessary permissions. Try removing and re-adding the widget. If the issue persists, restart your device.
How do I delete a transaction?
Swipe left on any transaction in the list to reveal the delete option. Tap Delete to remove the transaction.
How do I set up recurring transactions?
When adding a transaction, toggle on "Recurring" and select the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).
App Crashes or Not Working?
Try these steps:
1. Force close the app and reopen it
2. Restart your device
3. Make sure you have the latest version from the App Store
4. If the issue persists, email us with details about what happened
