The project aims at improving the students' exposure to international markets by working on real business projects provided by Italian companies wishing to enter foreign markets. During the three-month program, teams composed by Italian and foreing graduates will provide consulting solutions to small and medium size companies. At the end of the project, students will give a presentation of the main findings to the partners companies, together with a detailed report that collects the empirical analysis and strategic recommendations to the company.
The program is targeted to UNIVPM students and to graduates and undergraduates students from partner universities linked by the AIESEC network. A strong commitment i) to spend some weeks in Italy and ii) to present their home country markets is a definite advantage for selection of international students.
The program is open to students from Economics, Management, Business, Finance and Engineering. Students will be given tools and methods for studying business in international markets, and tutorship in the development of the project by academics and professionals. Following a problem-based learning approach, they will be engaged in a challenging semester-long real business case, that will help them in developing analytical and professional skills in a team-work environment.
Partner companies will provide the projects to be developed in the program. As a result of the program, companies will receive a focused market analysis with information on market demand and trends in customer preferences, in addition to an analysis of the business environment.
Companies and students will benefit from the availability of a dataset of company accounts and other information on the competitive framework of the foreign country. Data are provided by Bureau van Dijk, a world leading financial information provider, that is key partner of the project.
