ATHLETIC Twill Transfers

CUSTOM 2 color Twill LOGO IRON-ON Transfer

Below is a ballpark type 2 color design graphic logo cut from traditional TWILL heat transfer material.

After cut, the blue part of the logo has adhesive on the back side and it is pressed on to the black part of the Logo. The adhesive bonds the Blue to the black With NO fraying on the blue.

Now the 2 parts of the Logo are as one and can now be applied to the fleece jacket with the Adhesive on the black part, bonding the Logo to the Fleece Jacked, with home iron or heat press machine.

However,

the black part will need edge stitch to prevent the Twill from fraying.Posted By Steddy on T-Shirt Forums July 2006. Design custom made for Jennrock and Printed on a Fleece hooded Jacket.

The birth of Twill transfer

January 10, 2002

How was it made?

This young lady from the neighbourhood came by the store sometimes, it was a very alive artistic area smack in the center of little Italy. Also I just happen to be renting the same store location where Syd Sniderman operated his retail business back in 50's, before him and Sam set up shop selling records on Young street. That alone inspired my t-shirt fetish.

So Jenn comes in and wants this Baseball Team type Logo but with her name "JENNROCK". She decided on the med blue with black outline and size, now I just had to make this thing AKA a 2 color Twill Iron-on Transfer. A week or so later she came by and liked it. I was proud of my first CUSTOM twill job.

It was made by hand

At the time, digital equipment, transfer materials and cutting machines were as advanced and affordable as they are today. It was only a few items and my first time making such a thing, I did what anyone would do. Make a pattern, call around for the Twill Material, and trace and cut it out. Bond it with adhesive, coat the back of the logo with more adhesive and let it set. Go to the press and it's done.

My first Twill Iron-on Transfer. Merci Jenn
