Research Area
Our laboratory investigates human physiological responses to exercise through an integrative approach encompassing exercise nutrition, exercise biochemistry, and exercise neuroscience. We aim to elucidate the mechanisms underlying health, performance, and cognitive function by combining physiological assessment, biochemical analysis, and neuroimaging-based methodologies.
Through interdisciplinary research, the laboratory explores how exercise and lifestyle-related factors influence metabolic regulation, cerebrovascular function, neurocognitive processes, and overall human performance across diverse populations.
Application Domains
The laboratory’s application domains are broadly divided into Sports Performance and Public Health research. The Sports Performance Research Group focuses on optimizing physical performance, cognitive function, and physiological adaptation through exercise, neurophysiology, and conditioning-based interventions.
The Public Health Research Group investigates exercise-based strategies to promote health and quality of life, with emphasis on sleep, autonomic nervous system regulation, nutrition, cognitive health, and lifestyle-related physiological outcomes in the general population.
