Stroop task
The Stroop task is a cognitive control task used to assess selective attention and inhibitory control. In this task, participants are presented with color words displayed in either congruent or incongruent ink colors. They are instructed to identify the ink color while ignoring the meaning of the word. Reaction time and accuracy are used as behavioral indicators of attentional control and response inhibition.
N-back task
The N-back task assesses working memory by requiring participants to continuously monitor, maintain, and update sequentially presented information. Participants respond when the current stimulus matches the stimulus presented N trials earlier. Reaction time and accuracy are used to evaluate working memory performance.
Go/No-Go task
The Go/No-Go task is a response inhibition task used to assess inhibitory control. In this task, blue, green, and red circle stimuli are presented one at a time. Participants are instructed to respond as quickly and accurately as possible to blue and green circles by pressing the designated key, while withholding their response to red circles. Reaction time and accuracy are used as behavioral indicators of response execution and inhibitory control.
Flanker task
The Flanker task is a cognitive control task used to assess selective attention and conflict monitoring. In this task, participants are presented with a central target stimulus surrounded by flanking stimuli that are either congruent or incongruent with the target. They are instructed to respond to the central target while ignoring the surrounding flankers. Reaction time and accuracy are used as behavioral indicators of attentional control and interference processing.
AX-Continuous Performance task
AX-CPT is a cognitive control task used to assess sustained attention, context processing, and proactive control. In this task, participants are presented with a sequence of cue–probe pairs and are instructed to respond differently depending on whether a target probe follows a specific target cue. Reaction time and accuracy are used as behavioral indicators of attentional control and goal-directed response preparation.
Facial Emotion Recognition task
The Facial Emotion Recognition Task assesses emotional processing and social cognitive function. Participants are presented with facial expression images and asked to identify the emotion expressed by the person in the image. Reaction time and accuracy are used as behavioral indicators of emotion recognition performance.
