The WKS Śląsk Wrocław Foundation, established in 2020 in Wrocław, Poland, focuses on promoting healthy habits and physical activity among children and youth. Key projects include "Girls' Football," which encourages girls in the region to engage in regular physical activity, and "Piłka Nocna" (Midnight Soccer), in cooperation with the City of Wrocław, offering young residents regular sports sessions and social interaction. Both initiatives also include workshops on addiction prevention and social skills development.
The foundation addresses the growing challenge of childhood obesity and the importance of physical activity, especially in an era where many young people spend much of their time online. The goal is to create opportunities for active leisure and promote sports education without emphasizing competition. The foundation also offers training and workshops for coaches, referees, and youth leaders, ensuring quality in its programs, which have been positively evaluated, particularly in reaching children from low-income backgrounds.
