The Beijing Aardvarks is a well-established rugby club in Beijing, China, with a strong community spirit and dedication to the sport. Founded in 1999, the club is known for its professional training sessions, competitive matches, and promotion of rugby within the community. Whether you are a seasoned enthusiast or a newcomer, joining the Beijing Aardvarks offers an exciting and welcoming environment to experience the thrill of rugby in Beijing. The Aardvarks' pride can be described in their multiculturalism, with people from several countries having played for the team at various times. Most of the club members stay only in China for a short period, but the friendships made through rugby are remarkable. The club is continuously recruiting new people who are interested to participate in some good rugby, developing friendships, and have a great time.

By sharing my strong dedication to coaching, spending significant time on planning and staying informed about sport coaching development. Coaching is seen as a way to connect with people and make a positive impact on their lives. I believe coaching is a form of education, teaching not just sports skills but also important values.

The reasons for coaching are personal and varied, including a passion for sport, a love of teaching, opportunities for personal growth, and the ability to positively influence teammates. Coaching can help develop players’ confidence and teamwork skills.

Additionally, as an outside coach I can offer fresh ideas and expertise to the teams’ game plan for the season, which can be beneficial. However, my coaching style may not always fit with the players because it’s unfamiliar to them and needs to be practiced.

Volunteering Beijing Sino 10s

Offering my assistance to setting up one of the exciting Rugby Events in the Beijing Community was a fun learning experience with folding up Gazebos, putting on signages, moving posts on the field, assembling the stand for the cameraman, inspecting the field for any foreign objects and indicating where important areas will be at on the day like medical assistance, food & refreshment vendors, toilets etc. I was privileged to take part in the tournament as well. Teams and spectators were enjoying themselves at the event.
