Keeping Our Students Safe, Connected and Accounted For

At St Paul Methodist School Timor-Leste (SPMSTL), the safety and well-being of our students is a priority.

We are implementing the SPMS Bus Buddy System to strengthen communication between the school, our school buses and parents. The system helps us monitor students as they travel to and from school and provides parents with greater peace of mind.

Through the Bus Buddy app, parents can receive information about their child's bus journey and attendance directly on their mobile phone.

🚌 What is the SPMS Bus Buddy System?

The Bus Buddy System is part of SPMS's ongoing effort to improve student safety, attendance monitoring and parent communication.

The system helps the school to:

Monitor students boarding and leaving the school bus.
Keep a digital record of student bus attendance.
Improve communication between the school and parents.
Know whether students have arrived at school.
Provide parents with attendance information through their mobile phone.
Strengthen our student safeguarding and accountability procedures.

This is another step towards creating a safer and more connected school community.

📱2. BUS BUDDY ATTENDANCE FOR PARENTS

Parents are able to use the Bus Buddy app on their smartphone to check information related to their child's attendance.

The app is designed to make it easier for parents to stay informed without having to contact the school each time they want to check their child's attendance.

Parents will receive their login details from SPMS.

Please use the mobile number registered with the school when requested by the school.

Parents should keep their login information private and should not share their password with other people.

📲 How to Get Started

STEP 1 — Receive Your SPMS Login Details

SPMS will provide parents with the necessary login ID and password.

Your login information is connected to the parent/guardian information registered with the school.

If you have not received your login details or believe that your information is incorrect, please contact the school.

STEP 2 — Download the Bus Buddy App

Download and install the Bus Buddy app on your smartphone.

The app is available for both Android and iPhone users.

STEP 3 — Log In

Open the Bus Buddy app and enter:

Bus Buddy Attendance

password : last 6 digit of the registered mobile number

Please make sure that you enter your details correctly.

STEP 4 — Check Your Child's Attendance

After logging in, parents can use the app to view the attendance information available for their child.

Parents are encouraged to check the app regularly, especially when their child travels to school by bus.

🛡️ WHY ARE WE INTRODUCING THIS SYSTEM?

The Bus Buddy System is more than an attendance application.

It is part of our commitment to student safety and responsible school management.

By having a digital record of attendance and bus movement, SPMS can respond more quickly when there is a concern about a student's attendance or journey to and from school.

Our goals are:

To help us know where our students are during their school journey.

To maintain a reliable record of student attendance.

COMMUNICATION
To improve communication between SPMS and parents.

PEACE OF MIND
To help parents stay informed about their child's school attendance.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 WHAT PARENTS CAN DO

We ask all parents and guardians to:

Download the Bus Buddy app.
Log in using the details provided by SPMS.
Watch the Bus Buddy Instructional videos.( Busbuddy and Busbuddy Attendance)
Check your child's attendance regularly.
Inform SPMS if there is an attendance discrepancy.
Keep your login details secure.
Contact the school if you experience problems using the app.

⚠️ IMPORTANT

The Bus Buddy System is being implemented as part of the school's continuing improvement of student safety, attendance and parent communication.

As with any new digital system, there may occasionally be technical issues while the system is being implemented and improved.

If you experience a problem with the app or notice incorrect attendance information, please contact SPMS rather than repeatedly trying to change the information yourself.

SPMS will provide updates to parents through our official communication channels when there are important changes or system updates.
