Step 2: Speak freely—there’s no script. You can talk for as long as you want.

Step 3: Save the file in MP3, M4A, or WAV format.

Option 2: Share a Written Reflection

Step 1: Write your story in your own words. You can use any word processor that feels right (Google Docs, Word, etc.).

Step 2: Save it as a TXT, DOCX, or PDF file.

iPhone Users 

1. Open the Notes app.

2. Tap the microphone icon on the keyboard (bottom right).

3. Speak your story naturally.

4. Tap Done, then Share the note via email or phone ‪(414) 301-2457‬

1. Use Google Docs with the Voice Typing feature:

3. Go to Tools > Voice Typing.

4. Click the microphone icon and start speaking.

Tips for a Good Recording or Speech-to-Text Submission

Computer Users 

• Find a quiet space where you feel comfortable.

• Speak from the heart—there’s no right or wrong way to tell your story.

• Don’t worry about editing or making it perfect. We’re here to listen.

• You can pause and resume as needed.

• If you get emotional, that’s okay. Take your time.

• You can upload multiple files or multiple takes.

What Happens Next

Once we receive your story, our team will listen, reflect, and begin crafting a song that honors your experience.

You’ll be notified when your story is turned into lyrics; and,

 you’ll have the option to approve or suggest changes before it’s made into song.
