Split Khata Privacy Policy

TP Tech Labs operates the Split Khata mobile application.

This Privacy Policy explains how Split Khata collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in using Google, we may receive:

• Your name

• Email address

• Google account identifier

• Profile photo

• Authentication information provided by Google and Firebase

Split Khata does not receive or store your Google account password.

Expense and Group Information

• Group names and member identifiers

• Expense descriptions, amounts, categories, and dates

• Payer information, balances, and settlement status

• Group invite codes

• Receipt or group images you choose

App Preferences

• Theme preference

• Notification preferences

• Expense, payment reminder, and group activity preferences

2. How We Use Information

• Provide expense splitting and settlement features

• Calculate balances between group members

• Save groups, expenses, and preferences

• Synchronize information across supported devices

• Send notifications you enable

• Provide support and protect the app from misuse

3. Local and Cloud Storage

Guest and local information is stored on your device by default.

If you sign in or use shared groups, relevant information may be stored using Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, Google Cloud Firestore, or an optional synchronization server.

4. Information Sharing

Split Khata does not sell or rent personal information and does not include advertising integrations.

Information may be shared with group members, Google and Firebase services, optional synchronization providers, or when required by law.

6. App Permissions

Notifications

Notification permission is requested only when notifications are enabled. Notifications can be disabled inside Split Khata or through device settings.

Image Access

Image access is used only when you choose a receipt or group image.

Internet Access

Internet access supports sign-in, shared groups, cloud synchronization, and optional server synchronization.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Information is retained while necessary to provide the app or until it is deleted.

To delete your account from the app:

1. Open Split Khata

2. Open Profile

3. Select Delete Account & Data

4. Confirm permanent deletion

Some shared expense records may remain for other group members. Your identity may be replaced with Former member.

8. Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect information. However, no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure.

9. Children’s Privacy

Split Khata is not directed toward children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when app features, laws, or data practices change. The Last Updated date will be revised accordingly.
