To be a member of the Splatoon 2 Legacy Discord server. You will have to agree to follow the rules listed here.

1. Treat others with respect. Please keep conversations polite and respectful; do not make others feel afraid of you. Refrain from squid bagging, gloating, or other provocative gestures.

2. No bigotry. Do not promote or express disdain for anyone based on their ethnicity, nationality, religion, ability status, gender identity, gender modality, gender expression, or sexual orientation. Swearing is allowed, but do not use slurs for any reason, even ones you're trying to reclaim. By corollary, don't negatively call something "gay" or "autistic".

3. Keep it family-friendly. No NSFW or inappropriate content at all; this applies to your entire user profile/server profile and activity on the server.

4. Keep public vents in moderation; traumatic and/or politicized topics trigger some people. Do not use depression, mental trauma, self-injury, or suicide for hyperbole.

5. This server is primarily English; any and all conversations had must be in English.

6. If you have a concern or want to report rule-breaking to a staff member, please open a ticket. If it is something urgent, then please ping the Valued Employee role immediately.

7. Remain on topic; any conversations that are unrelated to the purpose of the channel being used must be moved to the respective channel. All matchmaking pings must be in the channel of the respective mode.

8. No spam or self-promotion (server invites, crypto advertisements, etc) unless it's allowed in the self-promo channel.

9. You are only allowed one matchmaking ping per hour; excessively pinging roles may lead to permissions being revoked to ping said roles.

10. Generative AI content is prohibited.

11. All members must be 13+ to attend this server and must abide by Discord's community guidelines. Failure to abide by these guidelines will result in a permanent ban.

12. Staff decisions are final, and the staff can punish members at their own discretion. Not everything in the rules can be covered; just because it isn't a rule doesn't mean you should do it.
