To be saved you have to believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, confess he is your lord with your mouth, stop practicing sin, be baptized, and remain faithful your first time doing what God wants. Sin for me is doing what god doesn't want or not doing what God wants. You have to give up sin completely and fight sin in your mind. You must control your thoughts. 

You have said Jesus Christ is your lord, so listen to him so you can enter heaven, which is his father's kingdom. The only way to the father is through the son. Now, once you do those first four first steps, you start to get transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. You have now become a child of God, and he is nurturing you up into his image. When this happens, the love for the sins you once committed now changes, and you start to hate sin. You are born again after you do the first four steps, and happens after your baptism.

 Once you have become a child of God, you can not stop being one. If you go back to sinning, God will not take you back. Not if you go back into a non-Christian-appropriate life. So remember, heaven is not for cowards. Get you bible study on, and figure out all wrongs and all things we are suppose to do. You can't practice sin. If we are faithful but sin God will punish, remember that.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord,

are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the

Spirit of the Lord.

To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
