Spiral Films started at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. Co-founders Melissa Ingle, Brianne Neira, and Ian White were frustrated that their final semester of college was cut short and felt aimless in isolation, as their had to pause their creative thesis projects. They decided to combine their talents and create a short film "A Place For Ashes." Spitballing random ideas over zoom during quarantine turned which turned into a nearly 3-year-long project, as they realized that they all had a similar stories to tell.
The company's first film has finished its festival run, snagging the Audience Choice Award from the New York Lift-Off Film Festival in the process.
The founders of Spiral Films Productions are currently in development of their second short film "Fantasy."
