KARATE AT SPINNING DRAGON
Spinning Dragon Fight Club teaches Anderson Bushi Kai Freestyle Karate, a practical martial arts system focused on developing effective technique, fitness, confidence, discipline and self-defence skills.
Whether you're a complete beginner or have previous martial arts experience, our classes provide structured training in a friendly and supportive environment. Students can progress at their own pace while developing both their physical skills and understanding of karate.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN A KARATE CLASS
π₯ Techniques
Learn and develop punches, kicks, blocks, strikes, stances and movement, with a focus on correct technique, power and practical application.
π Partner Drills
Work with training partners to develop distance, timing, reactions, defence and the ability to apply techniques against a moving opponent.
π₯ Pad Work
Practise effective striking combinations on pads to develop speed, power, accuracy, coordination and fitness.
π‘οΈ Practical Self-Defence
Develop practical skills for real-world self-defence, including awareness, movement, blocking, counter-attacking and controlling distance. Learn escapes and counters from grabs and holds, along with practical holds, joint locks and immobilisation techniques.
π₯ Kata
Learn structured sequences of karate techniques that develop balance, coordination, technique, focus and understanding of movement.
πͺ Fitness & Conditioning
Build strength, flexibility, coordination, endurance and overall fitness through martial arts training and conditioning.
BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME
Never trained karate before? No problem.
You don't need any previous martial arts experience or a high level of fitness to start. Our classes cater for different experience and fitness levels, allowing you to learn and progress at your own pace.
