I just bought a BB8/force band on ebay. The force band says "the force band application needs your attention" I have seen that the app is not longer available in the app store for apple (i have an iphone). Can you help on how to sync the force band to the BB8?

A few lucky Jedi can get their hands on the special edition Force Band and Battle-Worn BB-8. While the band is identical the one sold separately, this is your only chance to get your hands on BB-8 as he appears in The Force Awakens. Compared to the original Sphero BB-8, the exterior plastic feels a little bit thinner, but this BB-8 definitely looks more screen accurate.

The Force Band is rechargeable via a micro-USB port and offers 2 hours of continuous play for up to two days of passive play, which is when you walk around discovering hidden force disturbances and holocrons.

Sphero's motion-tracking Force Band can now control more than a tiny (and utterly adorable) BB-8 droid. The company has teamed up with If This Then That (IFTT) to integrate the "force" with countless apps and smart home devices. IFTTT, if you need a reminder, is a service that lets you automate pretty much anything with "triggers" and "actions." You can use it to turn on your Hue lights as soon as you walk through the front door, or tweet your Instagrams as native photos on Twitter. With the Force Band, you can now activate these same actions with a force push, pull or stop.

As expected, the Force Band is simple to wear and easily adjustable with the velcro strap. You really only have to adjust it once since taking the wristband on and off requires unclasping a simple magnet.

The band itself is very light and feels pretty fragile but I was assured it was made to withstand the might of children. I had the same reservations about BB-8, especially the antenna but apparently you can get a replacement for about $15. However Sphero says its also a durable robot and can handle the wall crashes.

Press it once and you'll hear the band prompt you with "Choose your activity." From there you can keep pressing the button to select the activity you want, where the last press will power down the Force Band and mute it. Bonus tip: To actually select the activity, you don't keep pressing - rather you tap once, then wait (i.e. don't button mash).

Layer 10 to 20 mL aliquotes of diluted blood onto an equal volume of Histopaque in 50 mL tubes. Centrifuge for 30 minutes at ambient temperature using a centrifugation force of 400g at the blood/Histopaque interface. Aspirate the lymphocyte band into a 15 mL centrifuge tube and bring the volume to 14 mL with Dulbecco PBS containing 2% v/v heat-inactivated fetal bovine serum, or 5% plasma protein fraction. Pellet the cells by centrifugation at 4C for 7 minutes at 450g, wash with 14 mL of PBS, and recentrifuge. Resuspend the final cell pellet in 1-2 mL buffer, and a viable cell count performed. Only cell preparations with a viability of >95% should be used.
