I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology in 2009 as well as my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2012 from the University of Akron, in Akron Ohio. Career opportunities brought my husband and I to San Antonio Texas for a couple years, and brought us to Charleston in 2017.
In my clinical experience I have been working with couples, families, children, and teens. I have worked with those struggling through the separation and divorce process as well as families with co-parenting concerns post-divorce. I have experience working with those who are struggling with self-esteem, suicidal thoughts or self-harming behaviors. I work with those struggling with depression or other mood disorders, low self-esteem, as well as those struggling with anxiety disorders or traumatic experiences. What we struggle with individually also impacts those around us, especially our family.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist I am passionate about working with couples, families, and individuals, and I believe our relationships and connections are a part of who we are, as well as how we heal and grow. I am trained to utilize the Prepare/Enrich assessment with couples at all stages of their relationship to identify areas of strength and growth.
I believe that as each person heals, everyone around them benefits. The changes they make impact them, their relationships, and their families. I enjoy watching my clients grow and change, through the process of therapy. Please contact me if you are ready to make your next steps and create change for yourself and those around you!
