StratusIQ builds fiber to connect customers to the cloud. In residential developments, they build Fiber-to-the-Home infrastructure to provide the best value in correspondence and entertainment services. They been an Internet Service Provider in El Paso County for over 16 years and were the first to provide Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) technology in 2007. They serve a wide range of customers including large and independent ventures, five-star resorts and open and private education campuses, notwithstanding residential developments.
StratusIQ, the largest nearby provider of fiber Internet service in El Paso County, announces their next fiber Internet expansion to the homes of Latigo Trails and Black Forest Reserve, following two separate awards awarded by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Broadband Fund. The Broadband Fund exists to connect communities and fuel economic development in under-served areas across Colorado.
StratusIQ was awarded these awards based on a variety of components including adherence to least requirements, cost-effectiveness, and effect on the network. "Federal and State broadband guides don't tell the whole story. Numerous residents in El Paso County realize their Internet service does not meet the Federal definition of Broadband." Said Curt Ambroso, Controller at StratusIQ. StratusIQ created separate applications for both Black Forest Reserve and Latigo Trails. This is the first time the DORA Broadband Fund has approved award funds to be used in El Paso County.
"We are pleased with the chance to bring Gigabit speed fiber Internet to these under-served residents," said Ben Kley, President of StratusIQ. Kley continued, "Building on our successful expansion to High Forest Ranch in 2019, Latigo Trails and Black Forest Reserve will be the latest communities to join our Gig fiber network." Along with neighborhood customer service, StratusIQ focuses on value, quality, and reliability with its fiber network. StratusIQ provides Internet service, digital telephone and full-featured TV service over a Fiber-to-the-Home infrastructure.
There are businesses and local gatherings also that will benefit from the fiber expansion. In the center of the Latigo Trails development is a premier equestrian and event office home to the Pikes Peak Range Riders Foundation and Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding. The event center holds national equestrian events and is surrounded by extra related businesses. "Having true broadband internet service will enable the network to help our main goal by permitting members to live communicate and interact socially in real-time before, during and after events at our celebrated office." Stated Rob Harrison, General Manager of the Latigo Trails Heritage Center.
Extra fiber expansion projects that StratusIQ has underway include Enchanted Springs Apartments, Enclaves at Mountain Vista, Renaissance at Indigo Ranch, The District at Victory Ridge, Paint Brush Hills, Banning Lewis Ranch and Patriot Park developments.
