Early Intervention: Age Birth to Three Years (Late Talkers)

Dr. Perry uses a developmental approach to help late talkers and their parents learn to communicate better. She specifically provides direct intervention to children, parent-training, and coaching to ensure that children increase their independence in communicating effectively. Services are typically provided in the child's natural environment, such as a day care, in the home, or via live video conferencing (i.e., tele-health). Dr. Perry is certified in the More Than Words Program by Hanen.

Pre-School & School Intervention: Age Three to 15 Years

Dr. Perry provides articulation, fluency, language, and literacy services to children in this age group. These services typically included one-to-one direct therapy sessions provided face-to-face or via live video-conferencing (i.e., tele-health). Dr. Perry has conducted research on language and literacy therapy and has published some of her research in scholarly journals. She has treated or assessed over 200 children from diverse cultural-linguistic backgrounds and has often helped parents and educators better understand the communicative strengths and weaknesses of children and how to effectively improve related skills for an enhanced quality of life.
