2020 SPCLC Narrative Introduction

Welcome to the Saint Paul Community Literacy Consortium Five Year Narrative.

SPCLC is the largest ABE consortium in Minnesota. Much of our success stems from the integration of Saint Paul Public Schools ABE with full, collaborative, and equal participation from nine nonprofit community-based organizations, many of which focus on meeting the needs of specific ethnic and racial groups. We pursue a strong community focus in all of our work. Together, we have developed a wide range of ABE-related services to serve all levels of learners; we have created and disseminated creative curricula in many areas; we have developed a range of innovative initiatives, some of which are used statewide and nationally; and current and former staff serve in leadership positions at MDE, Literacy Action Network, and at a range of national organizations. We are pleased to offer this narrative as a comprehensive description of our work, and our plans for the future.
