Bernese Mountain Dogs are originally from Switzerland and mostly bred in the agricultural region to be used as farm dogs. Not only are they great farm dogs, they are amazing family companions and make a great addition to one’s family. They have a beautiful tricolor coat made of black, white and reddish gold but mostly presenting their beautiful black color. They are active dogs who’d be more than happy to join you on your next hiking or camping trip. They are very affectionate dogs who have been known to be great with kids. These easy-going dogs are also very intelligent and excel in many areas such as agility, obedience and herding.
