The CSUSM Best Buddies was recognized at the Tukwuk Leadership Awards Night as 2023/2024 Student Organization of the Year! Alli Mulqueen, SPARCC Lab Research Assistant, serves as Co-President. Dr. Jobin serves as faculty advisor. In exciting news, they are in early discussions about the organization’s possible evolution into the Disability and Neurodiversity Alliance to better align with their mission, vision, and core values.

Veenavi W. Fernando presented preliminary findings for her thesis, Caregiver Engagement in Behaviorally-Based Autism Services, at the Western Psychological Association (WPA) conference. Our lab also presented several posters at WPA, too!
Our students are dedicated to advancing their training in neurodevelopmental disabilities, implementation of evidence-based practice, and leadership. Since 2023, three students have been selected as medium-term LEND Trainees in the San Diego Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Other Related Disabilities (LEND) program, including Taylor Munro (2024-2025), Alli Mulqueen (2024-2025), Elizabeth Keck (2023-2024), Kris Nelson (2022-2023), and Veena W. Fernando (2022-2023).
