Volition has proposed constructing a large, self-powered AI data center at the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon on the site of the former FingerHut building next to the windmills.
According to publicly available information:
Approximately 393 MW of on-site power generation (public discussions have also referenced phased development beginning around 250 MW).
Up to 1,210 Bloom Energy Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) generating electricity on-site.
Powered primarily by natural gas.
Closed-loop cooling system.
Intended to support AI computing infrastructure.
Residents have raised questions regarding:
