Coordinator

  • The Coordinator must send an agenda to all Members through email at least one week before the Regular Meeting. This can be included in the body of the email and must follow a simple outline of the Meeting.

Call to Order

Coordinator: I would like to call this Regular Meeting of the Swarthmore Political Access Network to order.

  • Before beginning, quickly count to make sure that a Quorum of at least four Members has been met. If fewer than four Members are present, Minutes cannot be approved, and no Unfinished Business or New Business may be adopted. Minutes should still be read, reports given, and business discussed.

Reading and Approval of the Minutes

Coordinator: First, I would like to ask the Secretary to read the Minutes of the previous Regular Meeting.

Secretary

Coordinator: Thank you very much. Are there any suggestions to correct the Minutes as read? Seeing none, I approve the Minutes from the previous Regular Meeting, which will be updated on our website.

  • Suggestions must be incorporated barring the objection of a simple majority of the assembled Members.

Reports of the Officers and Committees

Coordinator: Having approved the Minutes, I will now present a report on (topic).

Coordinator: At the previous Regular Meeting, we tabled several items to be discussed at today's Meeting. First, we will discuss the topic of (business).

  • All Unfinished Business must be acknowledged.

New Business

Coordinator: Having discussed all Old Business, I will open the floor to the discussion of any New Business.

  • New Business raised may be opened to discussion, referred to an Officer, referred to a Committee, referred to a Member, tabled for discussion at the next Meeting, or postponed indefinitely.

Adjournment

Coordinator: Thank you very much for a productive Meeting. Are there any objections to adjourning until the next Regular Meeting? Seeing none, I adjourn the Meeting. Preliminary Minutes from this Meeting will be distributed by the Secretary through email, and the Minutes approved today will be updated on SPAN's website. I will send an Agenda for the next Meeting one week before.
