Landmarks of Tomorrow: Sustainability as a Global Language Forum

Introduction: This event was hosted by Sanfa Real Estate, with our center participating as an industry-academia collaboration partner. The forum, themed "New Urban Landmarks: How Can Sustainability Become a Global Language?", included a collaborative "Participatory Design" interactive session. This session, jointly planned by National Chengchi University Sustainable Planning and Design Research Center and the Sanfa Real Estate, set five core themes for future commercial office buildings: "Sustainability, Safety, Music, Culture, and Sharing." Attendees were invited to provide feedback through a questionnaire, directly expressing their genuine expectations for future office spaces from the perspectives of users and managers.

「Transitioning Pōneke and our people to a Net-Zero City」Lectures

Speaker: Vida Christeller(Manager, City Design at Wellington City Council)
Information: Introduction: Using Wellington, New Zealand as a case study, this presentation will share how the government focuses on environmental sustainability while accumulating social capital, developing strategies for transportation, urban development, and other departments to promote a net-zero carbon emission city. Finally, through interaction with the audience, participants will exchange ideas on sustainable urban planning strategies among different cities.

Sustainable Urban Planning for Liveable Cities in Scandinavia and Beyond Lectures

Information: Start with a global environmental issue, also uses planning cases from many countries to present the development trend of sustainable planning in architecture, transportation, spatial layout, culture, green belts, etc. Finally, it uses multiple questions to encourage the audience to discuss the application of sustainable planning in the Taipei metropolitan area/Taiwan.

In order to promote the development of Keelung City as a low-carbon sustainable eco-city, the “Vision for Low-Carbon Sustainable Eco-Development” has been developed through the cooperation of industry, government, and academia. This year's event focused on Milvus migrans conservation and intertidal ecological maintenance, combining various bureaus and departments of the city government, industry and academia to learn together. In particular, we cooperated with National Chengchi University, Sustainable Planning and Design Research Center, the Keelung Wild Bird Society, the Youer Community Development Association, the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology, and the Tidewater Bay Conservation Patrol to arrange ecological courses and field observations in the form of workshops, in order to facilitate future discussions on low-carbon sustainable eco-city development. When discussing Keelung City's vision of low-carbon sustainable ecological development and implementation strategies, they will have a better ecological knowledge base and understanding of each other.
By organizing this year's workshop, the city government and the Center will have a wealth of research results that will enable them to make the best decisions for environmental protection and Keelung's urban development when facing Keelung's low-carbon eco-related planning, design, engineering, and environmental education in the future! We will make the best decision for environmental protection and Keelung's urban development, so that urban planning and land planning that take into account both economic development and ecological conservation can be realized in Keelung!
In the future, we welcome all sectors of the community to share their visions and strategies for the development of a sustainable nation!
