Founding Purpose—Five Major Goals
Sustainable Planning and Design Research Center, College of Social Sciences, National Chengchi University (hereinafter referred to as the Center) , aims to promote the sustainable development of land and urban planning and green building design, and to create more environmentally friendly, healthy, and livable spaces for the development of land and cities through interdisciplinary cooperation, so as to promote the sustainable development of land and cities, and to enhance the quality of life of all people.
To conduct research and studies related to land planning, urban planning and green building design, explore options for sustainable development of land and cities, and provide policy recommendations and technical support.
To promote education and training on land, urban planning and green building design, and to enhance the understanding of sustainable development of land and cities and the demand for green buildings and green transportation.
Apply the latest technologies and methodologies to develop innovative solutions in land, urban planning and green building design to enhance the sustainability of land and cities, including reducing carbon emissions, conserving energy and improving land use efficiency.
To establish a diversified cooperation platform to integrate government, industry, academia and other sectors to jointly promote the sustainable development of land and cities, and to promote innovative land, urban planning and green building design practices.
Strengthen the promotion and application of research results to facilitate the practice and promotion of sustainable land and urban development, enhance the quality and attractiveness of land and cities, and provide better quality of life for residents.
