If you are interested in attending this workshop, email jasmine2.butt@live.uwe.ac.uk with a sentence or two about your interests and attach an image of a black and white visual pattern, or an audio sample (or both). We will use these visual and audio samples during the session. Please also feel free to get in touch with any questions.
This workshop will form part of a research study. Participant information sheets and consent forms will be emailed to attendees prior to the workshop.
In this workshop, participants will engage in a creative exploration of the optimal setup for a fabrication lab. Drawing inspiration from the movie "The Founder," we will brainstorm and bodystorm equipment placement, room configurations, and logistical considerations in a fun and engaging manner. Attendees will collaborate to design their ideal fabrication workspace, considering factors such as equipment placement, designated areas for different tasks, and overall layout. Do you need a wet room, do you need a dirty area for cutting wood and other crazy materials, do you need a food preparation room (why not!)?
Participant Capacity: The maximum number of participants for this workshop is 20. The workshop would be well suited for those who are using hack space or other fabrication workshop.
