Welcome to the Southview Elementary Parent Teacher Organization!

Our Mission: "Connect, Empower, Achieve & Celebrate!"

Southview Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (SV PTO) is a parent-led entity focused on supporting students, teachers, and staff. Our purpose is to encourage open communication and collaboration between parents and teachers to create a positive learning environment. We fulfil this purpose through a variety of activities:

• Fundraising - SV PTO-sponsored fundraisers help to raise much-needed monies to support teachers and students throughout the school year.

• Special Events/Programs - Our fundraising dollars help to fund special programs such as field trips and author/artist visits as well as improve the educational quality of our school through the purchase of books, materials, classroom supplies, and equipment.

• Volunteers - Parent volunteers are crucial to the success of our organization. There are many ways to get involved ranging from becoming a board member, chairing one of our fundraising committees, or simply volunteering a few hours.

• Communication - Open communication between teachers, staff, and parents encourages a positive school environment.

• School Spirit - We aim to promote a sense of school spirit with fun and engaging activities such as room parties, bingo night, and our year-end Carnival.
