Meet Mr. Cho

Colin Cho is the choir director and general music teacher at South Middle School, Nampa, Idaho. As a recent graduate from Boise State University, Colin received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a choral emphasis while actively engaged as a freelance musician within the Treasure Valley. He is currently active as a bass choral scholar at First Presbyterian Church Boise, a member of the resident company at Opera Idaho and in Critical Mass Vocal Artists, a semi-professional choir in the Treasure Valley, under the direction of Dr. Michael Porter. Mr. Cho is currently an active member of ACDA, Idaho chapter of NAfME, and the Barbershop Harmony Society.

In addition to a career as a vocalist, Colin was actively engaged in bands throughout Boise State. Through his undergrad, Colin was a tenor saxophonist in the Boise State Blue Thunder Marching Band and served three years as a section leader. In a concert band setting, he performed in the woodwind sections, primarily focusing on low reed instruments.

When Colin is not teaching, he enjoys painting, recording one-man choir videos, gaming with his friends, and hiking around the Treasure Valley.
