Offered as a quarterly class on the Wheel, 7th Grade Music Fundamentals is focused around music literacy, exploring essential questions like:

▷  How is rhythm different from a beat?

▷  What symbols are used to represent different sounds or lack of sound?

▷  What preparation is necessary for performance?

▷  How do composers choose to express an idea using music?

Class is intended to offer students the opportunity to engage in music while not enrolled in a music ensemble, and gain an appreciation of music through literacy.
