Partridge Cup and SLTL Plate (new) Competitions 2026
Partridge Cup and SLTL Plate (new) Competitions 2026
The Partridge Cup competition will now be restricted to those teams who play in divisions 1, 2 and 3 of the SLTL.
Not all teams are expected to enter but there will be a preliminary round between the clubs in Divisions 2 and 3 to reduce their numbers to eight, so that there can be three further knockout rounds culminating in a final on 1st September.
The teams in Divisions 4 and 5 only will compete for the new SLTL Plate, a new trophy this season. Again some teams will not enter, in which case there will be some 'byes' in the first round. Further knockout rounds will lead to a final on 1st September and there will not be a game on 25th August.
The draws, set out below, are based solely on the final league positions of all clubs. The only 'arranged' matches ensure that the top two teams in Div 1 and in Div 4 cannot meet until their respective finals. Lower league teams in the respective competitions have been given home advantage in the preliminary and/or eighth round fixtures.
N.B. Division 6 games will be continuing until 25th August. If a ground is not available due to a Division 6 match taking place the knockout venue will be switched. If that same situation arises whereby two knockout games clash with a Division 6 game, then the lower placed league team in the End of Season competition will switch venue.
