The South Humarock Civic Association was formed in 1945 by the residents of South Humarock.  As a civic organization our mission is to support the social and civic efforts of the South Humarock community. 

Our clubhouse is located at Julian Street.  Our facility is a large open space that accommodates social functions of up to 100 people.  Our clubhouse has a full kitchen where we are able to prepare our annual Club Breakfast and our seasonal theme dinners.  At the end of each summer our clubhouse is our gathering spot to celebrate after the Horribles Parade.

OBJECTIVE:  The objective of this organization is to encourage and promote all civic betterments in the area known as South Humarock.  It is also to provide the membership with opportunities for social interaction.

Opportunities for social interaction among members will be provided in the form of a broad schedule of varied activities, primarily during the summer months (June - September).

The SHCA is operational during the months of June, July, and August. 

We are managed by an annually elected Board of Trustees consisting of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Secretary. The events organized each season are a passion from our members and the members that volunteer to run events are providing a form of civic engagement of our organization. 

If you are a property owner in South Humarock  (Milton Street south) you can become a full member for $40.00 per household.  If you are a property owner outside of south Humarock you can also be a member but for 3 years your membership will be classified as associate member, after 3 years you will become a full member.  Household members over 21 years old are eligible for their own membership.

FULL MEMBER:  Membership fees help support our clubhouse and allow us to sponsor fun and unique activities throughout the summer. As a member you will be placed on our email mailing list and will receive updates regarding events that are being planned.  You will also receive a weekly newsletter with updates regarding the club activity.  As a member you will also receive updates from the North and South River Watershed and from the Scituate Coastal Coalition. 

ASSOCIATE MEMBER: For residents of the area that do not live in South Humarock you can join as well.  Your membership will be classified as an Associate Member. Associate Members for 5 consecutive years qualify for full membership.

Annual membership fee is $40.00 per address with two adults.
