Based in the Fort Worth Independent School District, the South Hills High School band program is committed to empowering students through music education, performance, and personal growth.

Participation in our band program benefits students in many ways. In Texas alone, there are six times more scholarships awarded for music than for all athletics combined. Band students engage daily in a highly creative performing art that stimulates growth across multiple areas of the brain—growth that naturally supports academic success. In addition, band students develop valuable traits such as teamwork, responsibility, dedication, social skills, confidence, and leadership. Our staff’s goal is to provide an experience that enriches students’ lives and equips them with skills that lead to success in their future endeavors.
