Pangilis Festival is an annual celebration held every 17th of July that commemorates the Feast of our Lady of Mount Carmel. This festival innates the religious significance and symbolism that Libagonians uphold. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude for all the blessings they have received through the intercession of the Lady of Mount Carmel.
Municipal Centennial Building proclaimed as one of the Cultural and Historical Heritage sites of the Province of Southern Leyte. The municipal hall was built at the core of Barangay Jubas, with the voluntary labor and bayanihan system the Municipal hall was build from 1925 and finished in 1928 and served as the seat of governance from the Spanish era to the present day. The infrastructure was designed by a German architect, featuring a building's facade with
Plaza Rizal Monument is located at Barangay Jubas, right at the center of the municipality. The monument pays tribute to the brave men of Libagon, where a Memorial Stone (Ang Bato sa Paghandum) was built on the place wherein their name was engraved and to commemorate their brave act that led to significant changes in the municipality. The stone is located near Jose Rizal's monument to honor the country's National hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal.
Nestled in Barangay Cawayan, this adventure vista offers an exhilarating canyoneering experience with trails extending both upstream and downstream. To reach the mini canyon’s captivating beauty, visitors are expected to cross 7-9 creeks, a trek that usually takes between 30 minutes to an hour depending on the individual’s fitness scale. Throughout the trekking journey, visitors are accompanied by lush greeneries, tranquil ambiance, and impeccable scenic views. At the site, various activities are available for the visitors, such as climbing, swimming, trekking, and rappelling down the waterfall.
Situated in Barangay Bugasong, this historical landmark was primarily built as a potent defensive rampart against the Moros during the Spanish colonial period. The building was subsequently utilized as a camp for Japanese soldiers during World War II. Due to the profound significance brought by the structure, thus, at present times it is acknowledged as a Cultural and Historical Heritage site of the Municipality.
