Overnight housing
UTMSI campus housing facilities will be available to symposium attendees ($30/night for a shared dormitory room). Please reserve overnight housing on the registration form when you register for the symposium.
The Tarpon Inn in Port Aransas is a hotel sponsor for this year's conference! This historic hotel is a short walking distance from UTMSI. They are offering a 10% discount on all rooms. Attendees just mention that they are attending the symposium at UTMSI and will get the discounted rates at the time of booking.

Field Trip
SGS 2026 will include a half-day field trip to Mustang Island that highlights local geobiological sites of interest. The SGS 2026 Organizing Committee hopes that a local field trip can become a traditional component of SGS going forward, thereby promoting geobiological research throughout the Gulf Coast region.
